Introduced in 1972, Tefzel fluoroplastic resin is similar to Teflon fluoroplastic resin. It is also known as ETFE (ethylene tetrafluoroethylene) or Tefzel ETFE.
Tefzel insulation has good heat resistance and can withstand high voltages. Additionally, it has a high level of radiation and chemical resistance. These properties make it easy to insulate long wires for aerospace vehicles, computers, rapid transit vehicles, automobiles, heated piping systems, and nuclear power plants.

ETFE vs. PTFE vs. PFA vs. FEP: How to Choose
