PFA insulated wire and cable
PFA insulated cables and wires are ideal for high temperature applications. PFA insulation can withstand operating temperatures up to 260°C and has superior mechanical strength at high temperatures compared to FEP insulation. It exhibits excellent low temperature toughness. PFA insulated wire and cable is also used in applications requiring chemically resistant wire and cable. PFA insulation is inert when exposed to most industrial solvents and chemicals. PFA insulation maintains its useful properties over a temperature range of –200° C to +260° C.
FEP insulated wire and cable
FEP insulated cables and FEP wires are also used in applications involving high temperatures and harsh environments. FEP insulation is inert in most chemical environments and exhibits excellent resistance to high temperatures. It exhibits excellent low temperature toughness. FEP insulated wire and cable also exhibits extremely low flammability, excellent weather resistance and electrical stability. FEP insulated wire is commonly used in chemical, electrical, and medical applications and maintains its properties in temperatures ranging from -200° C to +200° C (or -328° F to +392° F).
ETFE insulated wire and cable
ETFE insulated cables and wires are heat resistant up to 150 °C. ETFE insulated wire and cable also exhibit high levels of mechanical toughness, flexibility and abrasion resistance. Therefore, ETFE insulation is commonly used in applications that require good mechanical strength, good chemical resistance, ability to withstand high temperature environments, and good electrical stability. The mechanical properties of ETFE insulation exceed that of PTFE and FEP. EFTE insulated wire and cables have an operating range of -100° C to +150° C.
