Thermocouple grade wire can be used for thermocouples and requires only one solder point entry or solder point connection point. Thermocouple grade wire is used to economically extend thermocouples to thermocouple grade wire becoming instrumentation in installations where this is too high. Despite this, the concentration remains high, and since these extension wires are made of thermocouple material and insulated, they may be largely immune to the hazards of your application. Standard thermocouple wire constructions are available to meet special requirements for abrasion, moisture and chemical resistance.
